STI 2026 — Update 3 November 2026
The 2026 cycle is complete. The final merit list was published on October 31, 2026. Letters of Agreement were issued through the STI Portal on November 2. Interns started at their assigned schools today, November 3. If you are on the merit list and have not yet reported to your school, contact your assigned school or District Education Office immediately.
The STI 2026 recruitment cycle is complete. The School Teacher Internship program ran its full selection process from October 18 to November 3, 2026. Letters of Agreement were issued through the STI Portal on November 2, and interns started at assigned schools on November 3.

STI stands for School Teacher Internship, a program by the Punjab School Education Department. It fills temporary teaching positions in primary, elementary, high, and higher secondary government schools. The current internship runs from November 3, 2026, to May 31, 2027, with monthly stipends.

All milestones through November 3 are complete. Interns are now in service through May 31, 2027.
STI 2026 results: what happened
The STI merit lists were posted on school notice boards, not sent by SMS or email.
Provisional merit list (October 23): Was posted on the notice board at the school where candidates applied. Shortlisted candidates were given their interview date and time.
Final merit list (October 31): Was published on the school notice board at 10:00 AM and also on the STI Portal at sti.pesrp.edu.pk. Selected candidates logged in to the portal on November 2 to access their Letter of Agreement.
STI stipend amounts in 2026
The monthly stipend varies by school level:

The internship period is 7 months, from November 3, 2026, to May 31, 2027. Payment details are issued after signing the Letter of Agreement.
What selected interns do now
If you are on the final merit list:
- Log in to the STI Portal at sti.pesrp.edu.pk using your registered credentials.
- Download your Letter of Agreement. Sign it and keep a copy for your records.
- Report to your assigned school. The joining date was November 3, 2026. If you missed it, contact the school or District Education Office immediately.
- Complete joining formalities with the school administration. Bring your original CNIC, educational certificates, and domicile.

Grievances: window now closed
The grievance window for STI 2026 ran from October 26 to 27, 2026. It is now closed.
Grievances were reviewed by the Tehsil-Level Committee before the interview stage. If you have an unresolved complaint, contact the District Education Office directly. GoPunjab cannot process or forward complaints on your behalf.
Important notes about STI 2026
No permanent appointment: The School Education Department has stated that these internships will not be converted into permanent appointments. This is a fixed-term teaching program from November 2026 to May 2027.
Vacancies varied by school: The number of positions depended on vacant posts at each school. Some schools had multiple openings while others had none.
About the STI program: The STI program fills temporary gaps in government schools while regular recruitment continues through PPSC. The program has run multiple rounds in previous years under similar processes.
